Summer Reading - Where Are You Reading?
The house was quiet. No electronic games. No DVDs playing. Where were the grandchildren?
Then I discovered…they were reading! These teens had secreted themselves in their special areas and were deep in books.
Our granddaughter lay on her reading couch in her bedroom. Grandson was in his new “alone” place, a tent set up on the deck.
We are a family of readers and often will choose reading over other entertainment. Also, a book is something you can take along with you.
Where are your favorite reading places? And that of your children?
- a hammock
- a glider
- a playhouse
- a tree house
- on a blanket in the back yard
- in your bedroom
- a couch in the family room
- beside a brook rippling over the rocks
- any place where you can grab a moment to pull out a book
